Communications:
Durango has good communications by road. It enjoys fast access to the Bilbao-Behobia motorway, to the N-634 road (Bilbao - Donostia-San Sebastián) and the BI-623 (Vitoria-Gasteiz).
Bus companies Bizkaibus, Alsa-Continental Auto and Pesa serve the municipality.
Durango is also well connected by the Bilbao - Donostia-San Sebastián train service, and the new headquarters of the Eusko Tren railway company, with an ambitious design by Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, are sited here.
